Clare made a butter candle by whipping a stick of butter with some roasted garlic, salt, and herbs.
The butter candle burned beautifully and all that was left was delicious, melty butter that’s perfect for dipping.
Clare thought, why stop at butter? Why not try a cheese candle?! Because it doesn’t work. The colby jack candle did not melt at all. Eric got so frustrated at the lack of melted cheese, he bit into the brick!
Likewise, the dessert candle made of melted chocolate didn’t burn.
Thanks to The Morning Scramble, we now know butter makes a great candle. Cheese and chocolate do not. Thanks Clare and Eric!
