Now, this can of Aqua-net was a gift from the American Heart Association for hosting their 80’s themed Heart Ball. It includes a scrunchie and unused comb, which make it a quality item, but Eric doesn’t need a whole lot of hairspray up top.
Clare loves this little fascinator she crafted for the royal wedding back in the day. It’s a great hat, but if you haven’t worn it in over a year AND it’s molting, it’s probably time to let it go.
Eric found something called “Lube Stick” which likely needs to be thrown away. But this autographed can of Busch Light from Carson King might actually be worth something. Morning Scramble listeners say keep this for a yard sale!
Clare is super proud of this collection of puppets she hand-crafted. It’s a full set: Garby, Yardy, and Curby. This is a keep because they are too dangerous for a child to play with. Perhaps a museum will call someday and want to display them?
Easterritos take all of the Easter leftovers and plops them on a flour tortilla.
Honestly, we did not think these would be good. But they are a taste sensation!! Creamy mashed potatoes, salty green beans, and everybody loves ham.
Eric created a brand new food to use up those leftover jellybeans: Easter Nachos. It’s popcorn, jellybeans, and melted candy melts.
Eric’s personal shopper and wife, Shannon, accidentally grabbed lemon flavored candy melts, so the lemony taste was not a hit for Destiny, but this could be a great way to get the kids excited about eating up jelly beans after Easter.
Clare’s trick to use up chocolate candy is to chop up candy bars and put them min a chocolate chip cookie.
She got a little too fancy and made the batter of the cookie chocolate too, so there’s almost too much chocolate flavor here, but a solid effort to eat up those candy bars.
Hot Cross Buns are a Good Friday tradition, so Clare had trouble finding a bakery that would whip up a batch for a Tuesday. It’s a sweet dough with dried fruit and frosting crosses on top. Clare’s were pretty dry.
Clare’s family always makes lamb cake for Easter. Eric and Destiny were relieved to learn that there’s no lamb meat in lamb cake. Whew! Just white cake in the shape of a lamb.
Clare has a little trouble during transport of the cake and the poor lamb lost it’s head!
What are you gonna do with all those leftover hard boiled eggs? Make potato salad and egg salad! Destiny claimed her boyfriend knows how to make the best potato salad. But apparently she didn’t know that egg salad is served as a sandwich?
Tik Tok Pasta is really good! And pretty simple to make too. It’s basically tomatoes, cheese, and pasta…what’s not to love?!
Rice Crispy Peeps are a lie. Clare does not recommend you try it as the video does it. The peeps expand in the oven, cereal falls out of the pan and it’s a mess. And the consistency of the treats as off compared to regular rice crispy treats. Fail.
Lizzo’s recipe for “Nature’s Cereal” had us divided. It’s just berries in Coconut water and you eat it like cereal. Eric and Destiny HATED the taste of coconut water. Clare thought it was totally tasty.
Irish Boxty is a potato pancake. Clare’s recipe came with a cute saying, “Boxty on the griddle, boxty on the pan; if you can’t make boxty, you’ll never get a man.”
Bad news for Clare because she can’t make boxty. The pancakes were too thick and raw in the middle.
Colcannon is mashed potatoes with cooked greens folded in. And lots of butter!
Colcannon is pretty good! It may be a good way to get picky eaters (Eric and Destiny) to eat their leafy greens.
