Martha Stewart’s “kid-friendly” Salmon and Corn Chowder looks…questionable.
It’s actually pretty delicious! It’s well seasoned, the salmon isn’t overly fishy. The flavors work!
The one thing we’d change is corn being on the cob. That doesn’t really work for soup. It tastes good, but soup dribbles everywhere as you try to eat it.
Pepperidge Farm, who makes Goldfish crackers, also owns McCormick Seasoning. So they created Old Bay Seasoned Goldfish.
Clare isn’t a big Old Bay fan, so she had low expectations.
They are heavily seasoned and it’s over-powering. They’re a little too zesty. They do pair nicely with the chowder though. Maybe even on some tomato soup, but we wouldn’t snack on them by themselves.
